Coach Chuck Kriese Assists Tennis Dynamics with Clinic which Raises over $900 for American Cancer Society's Relay for Life
On May 10th, 2008 Tennis Dynamics was proud to present the “Tennis For the Cure” event at the East Cobb Swim and Tennis Club to benefit the American Cancer Society. It was a rare opportunity for area juniors practice in a one-day clinic led by one of America's best college coaches-Coach Chuck Kriese. Coach Kriese has since retired from Clemson University and is now the National Coach of Thailand and the Technical Director for the Southeast Asian Tennis Association. While he was the Head Coach at Clemson for 34 years he became the winningest tennis coach in A.C.C. history.
Just under 30 area middle and high school juniors were able to participate in the clinic. They were able to build on their skills and listen to one of the best motivational tennis speakers in the country.
Two separate drill sessions sessions were held. The weather cooperated throughout the day and lunch was provided by Bar-B-Que 1 of Marietta. During the hour and a half lunch break Coach Kriese was able to speak to both the juniors and their parents about their tennis future. He offered his brand of motivation and what he feels makes tennis a great sport be involved with.
Over $900 was raised from the clinic and donated to the American Cancer Society.
